About Greeley Weld Housing Authority

We are dedicated to providing safe, decent, affordable housing opportunities. We want to help you find the housing opportunities that fit your needs.

The Greeley Housing Authority (GHA) owns and manages 86 unit of Federal Public Housing consisting of 80 apartments and six single family houses. The multi-family units are located at three locations in the City.

The two, three and four bedroom units feature parking, washer/dryer hookup and maintenance. Handicap accessible units are located at two of the multi-family sites. Residents pay a rent based on 30% of their income and are responsible for gas and electric utilities.

Eligibility is based on income and a demonstrated ability to comply with all lease provisions based on past housing history and criminal background checks. Residents remain eligible for housing as long as they are in compliance with their lease.

Section 8 is a program designed to assist those Low Income families with the cost of renting housing. The family pays a rent of 30% of their income to their landlord and the Housing Authority pays the difference.

Applications to be placed on the waiting list are taken at our office. Once an applicant is called up from the waiting list, it is the responsibility of the applicant to find appropriate rental housing with a landlord who is which is willing to work with the program.
